E-News for Friday, October 23, 2020

Dear Friends,

It is traditional to remember Martin Luther and the Reformation on the last Sunday of October. Martin Luther took a brave step in declaring that we are saved by God’s grace alone. It is human nature to want to create guidelines by which we need to be saved. The Church during Martin Luther’s time as focusing on rules and rituals to be saved. Jesus teaches us that the most important thing is to love God and one another. We are saved by God’s grace not by our own works. Thank God for this, because as our Journey with Jesus teaches us, we cannot save ourselves, only God can.

We will be worshipping in person and livestreaming via Facebook 9am on Sunday mornings. You need not have a Facebook account to watch and listen. You are in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything, please call my cell phone 573-832-2475.
