The Children’s Sermon
You’ll Need:
● A cell phone
Do This:
SAY: Does anyone know what a guarantee is? (Give kids time to respond.) It’s a
promise, usually that if something breaks or stops working, a company will fix it.
Can anyone think of something that comes with a guarantee? (Give kids time to
respond.) Many things come with a guarantee. Refrigerators, cars, TVs, houses,
even cell phones. (Hold up your cell phone.) That’s because all of these things have a
tendency to break, get lost, or be stolen.
Wouldn't it be great if something was guaranteed to last forever—and was
guaranteed that you couldn't lose it and nobody could steal it? Well, there is!
Jesus has promised everlasting life to those who trust and believe in Him. Listen to
His guarantee:
"My sheep hear My voice; I know them and they follow Me. I give them eternal life,
and they shall never die!"
Nothing can take us out of Jesus’ hand. It is guaranteed that no one can steal His
trust or break His promise.
Jesus said, "No one can snatch them out of My hand."
Imagine eternal life that you can't lose and no one can take away. That's a
guarantee no one can match!
PRAY: Dear Father, we thank You for Your guarantee of everlasting life through
Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Bible Memory Verse
“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can
snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to
Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father's
hand.” John 10:28-29
You’ll Need:
● Balloons
● Small slips of paper
● A pen
● Tape
Get Ready: Before the activity, Write a phrase from today’s Bible verse on each
small slip of paper. Put individual slips inside balloons and inflate them. Inflate several
balloons with no slip inside.
Do This:
Lead kids in these steps to learn today’s Bible Memory Verse:
● Open your Bible to John 10:28-29.
● Read the memory verse several times and invite kids to repeat phrases after
you.
● Spread the balloons around the room.
● Explain that when you say, “Go!” kids will have to scramble to pop the balloons to
find today’s Bible verse.
● As they find a slip, have them bring it to the front of the room where they will
tape the slips in order to make the Bible verse.
SAY: Great job matching phrases from today’s Bible verse! Jesus came so we could
have eternal life with Him in heaven. Nothing can take away that incredible
promise. That’s Jesus’ guarantee.

Guaranteed Forever
You’ll Need:
● “Guaranteed Forever” video
● Something to play the video
Do This:

Show the video.
ASK:
● What is the guarantee that Jesus offers to those who believe in Him?
● Who helps you believe in Jesus?

Sheep Sweets
You’ll Need:
● Graham cracker squares
● White frosting
● Plastic knives
● Mini marshmallows
● Small candy eyes - 2 per child
● Black candy melts - 1 per child
● Napkins
Get Ready: Before the snack, have kids clean their hands.
Do This:
Follow these steps for the “Sheep Sweets” snacks:
● Give each child a Graham cracker square, a handful of mini marshmallows, one
black candy melt, and two small candy eyes.
● Help kids spread a small layer of frosting across the top of their Graham
cracker.
● Invite kids to place the black candy melt in the center of the Graham cracker,
and stack the candy eyes on top of the candy melt. (Adding a dab of frosting will
help keep the eyes in place.)
● Have kids place mini marshmallows across the remainder of the cracker so that
the frosting is covered.
● Remind kids that in today’s passage, Jesus assures us that when we place our
faith in Him, nothing can snatch us from His hands.
● Enjoy.
ASK:
● What does it mean to you to be protected by Jesus?
● How do we receive Jesus’ guarantee?

I Baa-lieve Sheep
You’ll Need:
“Baa Baa” handout - 1 per child
● Cardstock
● Cotton balls
● Glue
● Googly eyes - 2 per child
● Markers
Get Ready: Before the activity, print the “Baa Baa” handout on cardstock, one per
child.
Do This: Have kids follow these steps to make the “I Baa-lieve Sheep” craft:
● Give each child a handout, a glue stick, and a handful of cotton balls.
● Remind kids that in today’s story, Jesus compared those who believe in Him to
sheep who know their shepherds’ voice.
● Invite kids to glue the cotton balls to the handout.
● Add two googly eyes to complete the sheep.
● Let kids color the rest of the page as time allows.
SAY: God promises us to live forever with Him when we accept Him as our Savior.
We can trust Him to save us from our sin and believe that Jesus is God’s Son and
that He paid the price for us on the cross. He says we are guaranteed forever in His
hands.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, we thank You for holding us in Your hand and for giving us the
promise that nothing can take us from Your hands. Amen.
