Weekly E-News from St. Peter's UCC

E-News for Friday, April 24, 2020

Dear Friends,

We have been in Corona virus isolation for a long time. I really miss seeing your faces, but we will need to keep at this a little while longer. This is one of those times in life that we do not understand but must live through. We do not always understand why things happen. The disciples who were walking home from Jerusalem to Emmaus were trying to make sense of the happenings of Holy Week when a stranger joined them. After being welcomed into their home, the stranger revealed himself in the sharing of a meal to be Jesus. In the strangeness of this time, Jesus is in our homes if we just invite him. Jesus is with us through our isolation and beyond. Thanks be to God for that!

A friend shared an Isolation Well Being Check List with me. I am including link to it as a way to help you walk through this time of isolation. Remember you are not alone as Jesus’ is in hour home.

You are in my thoughts and prayers daily. If you need anything or know of someone who needs anything, please do not hesitate to call my cell phone 573-832-2475. You can call, if you just want to chat. I would like that!
