Weekly E-News from St. Peter's UCC for March 20, 2020

Weekly E-News for Friday, March 20, 2020

Dear Friends,

This Sunday is the Fourth Sunday of the Lenten Season, and the first time that we are suspending worship so that we can be compliant with the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidance concerning Social Distancing as part the preventing the spread of the Covid-19 Corona Virus. We are all sad that we need to do this, but as faithful people of God it is important to show care for others by following rules that slow down this pandemic.

The Church Office is still open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 to 3:30 and on Friday from 9 to Noon. You are invited to stop by the church and pray. We would encourage you to drop off your offering as well. I am especially concerned about our giving to One Great Hour of Sharing which helps so many people in the United States and around the world.

I am attaching the Bulletin and the Prayers and Meditation for Sunday, March 22. Or you can go to our website to read the prayer and meditation https://www.stpetersowensville.com/prayer_and_meditation_for_sunday_march_22_2020.

A podcast based on the Prayer and Meditation for Sunday, March 22, 2020 has been created and published. I would like to thank Jean Baker for recording and sharing to songs for this podcast. To listen go to https://anchor.fm/stephanie-delong0/episodes/Sunday--March-22--2020-ebmdqk. The podcast will play in Chrome and Spotify. Other formats are being added when they are approved by the format host.

This is a way to feel connected with the church when we cannot gather on Sunday. I am also looking into hosting a Zoom meeting one Wednesday around 7pm so that we can see and/or hear one another while sharing prayers and concerns. Links will be sent out as they become available.

Keep Checking our website for more updates at https://www.stpetersowensville.com/.
