Dear Friends,
Have you ever felt bent over from a heavy load, an illness or an emotional or spiritual burden? In the Gospel Lesson (Luke 13:10-17) for this Sunday, Jesus helps a woman who had been bent over for 18 years stand up straight again. She had a physical ailment that kept her bending over and looking down. It must have been a real relief to her to be able to look up again and see people face to face.
Sometimes we are bent over and not seeing possibilities due to emotional and spiritual burdens in our lives. Jesus invites us to see the world in a whole new way, not limited by the old laws or old ways of being. Take a moment to pray that God will open you up to new ways of seeing the world and to lift those burdens of the soul from your life.

Announcements:
- In August our Mission of the Month is for the Helping Hands Building Fund. Please give generously.
- The CROP Walk will be on Sunday, October 13 in Buschmann Park.
- Sunday School and Confirmation will resume at 8:45 on Sunday, September 8.
If you know of any Middle Schoolers who would like to join our Confirmation Class, please let Pastor Stephanie know. - Youth (KLIC, FROG and TACO) will meeting on Sunday, September 8 at 5pm for Pizza and Planning in the Youth Room. Middle and High Schoolers will have the opportunity to go on a Mission Trip this Summer. This will need a lot of planning! 😊
