Dear Friends,

It is Gasconade County Fair time! Many members of St. Peter’s UCC are actively involved in the fair. The quilts that the Dorcas displayed at the fair all received ribbons. The two larger quilts received blue ribbons! Our quilters are among some of the best in Gasconade county. We had a nice crew of people helping with the Ice Cream stand yesterday. Thank you to all who came and helped!

This Sunday’s scripture lessons are Colossians 2:6-15 and Luke 11:1-13. The Luke passage is when the disciples ask Jesus to teach them to pray. Jesus responds with what many of us know as the Lord’s Prayer. Take a moment this week to reflect on this prayer and what it means to you and your relationship with God.

Announcements:

• Helping Hands will be hosting an Open House at their new location at 3522 Kosark Road from 1-3pm on Sunday, August 4. You are invited to attend. In August our Mission of the Month will be for the Helping Hands Building Fund. Please give generously.
• Christmas in July donations for the Advent Tea are taking place now. Don’t forget to take your ornament off the tree in the Narthex.
