Dear Friends,
The Owensville Rosebud Ministerial Alliance sponsored Back to School Fair was held yesterday at the Owensville Lion’s Hall. This year we had close to 200 students register for the event. 10 social service agencies had tables to share information about the services which they offer. Included among this group for the first time was the St. Peter’s UCC Upper Room Store.
Imogene Vitoux selected several boxes of clothing to display on two tables in the Lion’s Hall. Families were able to select from a nice variety of children’s clothing for back to school. When the event was over, she only had a small laundry basket to bring back to St. Peter’s. Flyers were handed out inviting people to visit the Upper Room Store and worship at St. Peter’s. Thank you to Imy for her ministry in the Upper Room Store!
Sharing our resources is a way to share God’s love with the world. Our Gospel lesson for this Sunday tells the parable of the Rich Fool who hoarded his wealth and lost his life. The man is considered a fool not because he was a successful farmer and businessman, but because his focus was all on himself. The fool had forgot about God, God’s love and sharing with others. May we be wise in Christ and remember to share what we have and love God.

- Helping Hands will be hosting an Open House at their new location at 3522 Kosark Road from 1-3pm on Sunday, August 4. You are invited to attend. In August our Mission of the Month will be for the Helping Hands Building Fund. Please give generously.
- Christmas in July donations for the Advent Tea are taking place now. Don’t forget to take your ornament off the tree in the Narthex.
